Gardaí have arrested a man this evening in relation to the 2005 murder of Eoin McCarthy (27).
The remains of Mr McCarthy, from Ashwood Park in Clondalkin, were found on November 4, 2005 in woodlands near Glendalough in Co Wicklow.
A post-mortem examination found he died from a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

Gardaí investigating the murder have arrested a man (40s) in relation to this investigation this evening.
The man is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in the Eastern Region.
Investigations are ongoing.
