Zendaya’s Carrie Bradshaw-inspired dress wasn’t the only show-stopping thing she wore at Essence’s 2026 Black Women in Hollywood Awards on Thursday. The actress apparently flashed her wedding band at the Los Angeles event, according to a new report from People.
Host Marsai Martin namechecked Zendaya during the ceremony, adding that the Euphoria star “doesn’t play about her private life.” Zendaya is thought to have secretly tied the knot with her longtime partner, Tom Holland.

After Martin asked Zendaya to give her “a sign” of her betrothal, the audience applauded when she showed off what appeared to be her wedding band.
A source also told People that Zendaya was “overheard accepting well wishes from fellow attendees at the event.”
Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach broke the news of her marriage at the 2026 Actor Awards earlier this month. Speaking to Access Hollywood on the red carpet, he shared that her wedding to Holland “already happened.”

“You missed it! It’s very true,” he added.
Holland and Zendaya initially sparked romance rumors back in 2017 after meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming. She revealed their engagement after showing up at the 2025 Golden Globes with a massive rock on her ring finger.
The following day, People confirmed that Holland did indeed pop the question. According to TMZ, he got down on one knee during the 2024 holiday season.

At the time, a source close to the couple told People that they didn’t plan to “rush a wedding.”
Roach echoed this sentiment in a May 2025 interview with Complex.
“Zendaya is working on six movies; she has like six movies coming out,” he said. “I’m thinking about the press tours!”
