Garage and business owners are not to be blamed for the price increase of oil, says Fine Gael Councillor and garage owner Gerry Coyle.
Consumers are blaming businesses that sell oil for the sharp increase in oil prices, which rose above $100 a barrel yesterday, due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
As of this morning, the US has eased oil sanctions on Russia to allow imports and alleviate price pressures. However this has faced backlash from Western allies, with oil still heading for a weekly gain.
