Charitable lunch raises €1,333 for North West 10k charities

A charity lunch fundraiser has raised €1,333 for this year’s North West 10k charities.

The event, organised by the Autism Family Support Group Letterkenny and sponsored by the GoMart Store, was held in Letterkenny this afternoon.

A total of 185 meals were sold as part of the fundraiser, with all proceeds from sales going towards the Autism Family Support Group, Alcohol Forum Ireland and the No Barriers Foundation.

Organising committee member Anil Ambat was joined by Autism Family Support Group members June Doherty and Lillianne, who co-ordinated and managed the delivery of the lunch.

A number of local political representatives also attended, including Deputies Pearse Doherty and Padraig Mac Lochlainn, and Letterkenny-Milford Councillor Gerry McMonagle.

Minister Charlie McConalogue (TD) and Cllr Donal “Mandy” Kelly also sent their best wishes for the event, as they were unable to attend due to prior commitments.
