A man was rushed to hospital following a suspected stabbing incident in Dublin city centre.
The incident occurred at Countess Markievicz House on Townsend Street shortly before midnight on Friday (March 12).
The victim, a man aged in his 40s, was slashed a number of times during the assault, Dublin Live report.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to St James Hospital where his injuries are believed to not be life-threatening.
Gardai sealed off the scene earlier today to allow for a technical examination.
Gardai have launched an investigation into the incident and no arrests have been made yet.
A garda spokesman said: “Gardaí and emergency services were alerted shortly after 11:40pm on Friday 13th March 2026 after a male in his 40s was seriously assaulted in the course of an incident at Countess Markievicz House, Dublin 2.
“The male was conveyed to St James’ Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at this time. The scene was preserved for a technical examination and investigations are ongoing.”
