RNLI helicopter exercise in Buncrana cancelled

The RNLI has announced that a planned helicopter exercise in Buncrana has now been cancelled.

Residents had been advised that a routine crew training exercise was to take place in the area today.

However, the Lough Swilly RNLI have confirmed that the exercise has been called off following a busy night for the helicopter rescue service.

“This morning’s excercise has been cancelled, (as) R118 was on a tasking all night,” they confirmed.
