Married At First Sight bride Stella Mickunaite has revealed the surprising solution she offered husband Filip Gregov after their sex life hit a rough patch – suggesting he get a vasectomy.
Speaking exclusively about the awkward moment that aired during Sunday night’s Commitment Ceremony, Stella said the conversation came after Filip admitted he was terrified of accidentally getting someone pregnant.
‘So Filip was paranoid of making someone randomly pregnant and quite frankly, I only want kids in a happy marriage,’ Stella explained.
The bride said the tension around pregnancy fears became a major discussion between them, especially after a period of low intimacy following the emotionally charged couples retreat.
‘We also had a rough patch of low intimacy due to my fears in relationships plus the intensity of retreat and this was a big chat for us,’ she said.
Stella also made it clear she had no intention of returning to hormonal contraception.

‘I am also never going to go back on birth control as it affects hormones for women,’ she said.
Instead, she offered what she believed was a simple solution.
‘As I am well versed in the area of going through miscarriage, birth control and hormones affecting the body, the easiest solution was vasectomy,’ she said.
‘It’s 15 minutes. It’s safe. It’s reversible. And you can always access sperm when you need it.’
Filip also addressed the conversation, admitting that the idea initially caught him off guard.
‘I had a fear of getting someone pregnant as all us men do when we are involved with someone intimately,’ he said.
‘Never ever considered to get the snip for anyone. I’ve never been offered a solution like that before by anyone.’
However, he said the discussion opened his eyes to a broader issue about expectations placed on women when it comes to contraception.

‘I guess this brings up a solid discussion though as to why the expectation that women will always be the ones taking one for the team as you can do it as a man as well,’ he added.
‘I guess the rubber is the answer right?’
The revelation comes after Sunday night’s episode showed cracks beginning to form in what had been one of the experiment’s strongest relationships.
During the Commitment Ceremony, Stella admitted the dynamic between them changed after Filip confessed he loved her.
Rather than feeling reassured, the declaration triggered deep fears of abandonment.
‘I have whiplash,’ she told the experts.

She also revealed she had been spiralling over the couple’s future outside the experiment, particularly the fact Filip currently has no plans to move to Sydney.
‘At the moment he doesn’t see Sydney as a possibility to move and in my head, this is a break–up,’ she said.
Filip admitted the pressure had been difficult to navigate and told the experts he sometimes felt Stella was trying to ‘take him down a peg’ during arguments.
One example he raised was when Stella questioned his masculinity after he declined a night out following a long week.
But the most shocking revelation came when the couple confirmed they had stopped being physically intimate.
Stella explained that Filip’s fear of an accidental pregnancy had been a major factor in the pause.
Her blunt suggestion that he get a vasectomy left the experts stunned.
Relationship expert Alessandra Rampolla questioned whether Filip’s fear was being used as an excuse.
‘It almost seems like a little bit of an excuse,’ she told the couple.
Despite the awkward discussion, both Stella and Filip ultimately decided to stay in the experiment.
The experts encouraged Stella to think more carefully before speaking, warning that some of her blunt comments could be hurting Filip’s feelings and contributing to their communication breakdown.
Both wrote ‘stay’ at the ceremony, signalling they are determined to work through their issues.
