Kristin Cabot has revealed a key new detail about her viral kiss cam moment which thrust her into global headlines in July 2025.

The former Astronomer chief people officer sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all podcast to be released on YouTube on Tuesday, describing it as her only on-camera interview.

In a preview, Cabot revealed both she and her estranged husband – as well as Byron and his wife – were already separated at the time of the infamous kiss-cam moment.

“I was walking into the concert, and my daughter messaged me saying it’s great that you and Andrew are both at Coldplay,” she said.

“So she let me know that my estranged husband was also at the concert.”

Winfrey noted that the couple’s prior estrangement from their partners as a new and crucial detail.

“This is what I didn’t know, and clearly you didn’t either,” Winfrey told her live audience.

Cabot admitted she was worried her husband would see her with the Astronomer CEO – but dismissed that fear given the size of the crowd.

“But then I was like, I’m in Gillette Stadium, there’s 55,000 people here, I’m probably not going to run into him,” she told the legendary talk show host.

Cabot added her husband was aware of her close working relationship with Byron, describing it as typical of her role working closely with senior executives.

“But it doesn’t matter … that would’ve been better at the end of the day if I’d just run into him, but he knows how closely Andy and I work together. He knows we socially got lunches and got drinks. It was fine.”

“He knows the nature of my work and the way (I work). I’ve shared desks with the CEOs I work with. It’s a very close relationship so it didn’t matter.”

The clip which amounted to more than a billion views, showed Cabot and Byron at the Coldplay concert in Massachusetts in July last year, embracing before quickly recoiling from the camera – fuelling widespread online speculation of an affair.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked at the time: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Both Cabot and Byron shortly stepped down from their roles within the same month of the incident.
