Cork-based Scottish singer-songwriter Donovan will grace the stage at The Everyman on Saturday, July 11.

Rising to fame in the 1960s as a leading figure in the folk music scene, the Tale of the Gael tour highlights Donovan’s deep Scottish/Irish heritage, poetic songwriting style, and his long-standing career since his 1965 debut single with Catch the Wind.

Regarded as one of the most influential songwriters and recording artists in the world, Donovan often tells in concert stories of his impact on the great artists of the modern world, such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Oasis, and many more, some of whom went on to become his friends.

Donovan was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014.

He has also won a Lifetime BBC Folk Award, and many international awards.

Tickets for Donovan at The Everyman, priced  at €36, are on sale now at https://everymancork.com.
