While the Ireland squad for the upcoming World Cup play-offs will not be announced until Thursday morning, it seems as though an accidental club leak has confirmed at least one shock call-up for the games later this month.
Heimir Hallgrimsson is set to name his squad tomorrow for the games against Czechia and either Denmark or North Macedonia, with a huge amount of interest over who will make the cut. The Icelander has some big decisions to make, with the likes of Josh Cullen and Evan Ferguson unavailable due to injury.
However, it seems like we will see one unexpected inclusion.

Leaks says Harvey Vale called up by Ireland
Harvey Vale was not a name on the radar of many Ireland fans until recent days and understandably so.

A Chelsea academy product, the QPR player was an accomplished England youth international in the past, captaining them to U19 Euros glory back in 2022. It was then unexpectedly confirmed last week that the player had switched his international allegiances to Ireland.
The 22-year old now looks set for a first international call-up, with the news being leaked by his current club.
A post appeared on the official QPR website this evening in which Harvey Vale spoke of his pride at receiving his first Ireland call-up, despite the news not being made public as of yet.
The post was seemingly released ahead of schedule and swiftly deleted, as sport by Reptracker on X.

You can now expect Harvey Vale to be among those included in the Ireland squad tomorrow morning, an unexpected development considering he was not someone on the radar of Irish fans just one week ago.
It will be interesting to see what part he will play during the upcoming window, although Heimir Hallgrimsson clearly thinks he has something to offer the squad.
