Galway senior Ciaran Mulhern led the way as the Tribesmen defeated a wasteful Roscommon outfit in the opening round of the Connacht U-20 FC at Tuam Stadium.
An early Niall Heneghan two-pointer gave the visitors their only lead of the contest as goals from Shay McGlinchey and Cian Mitchell inside two minutes midway through the half saw the Tribesmen open a valuable 2-2 to 0-2 lead into the wind.
