“Eva and Ben are still devastated,” explains our Corrie source. “Their number one priority is making sure that Will is in a safe space to process his feelings, but they’re still worried about him, as any parent would be.
“With that in mind, it must be awful to hear that Will has had a tough first day back at school.”
The week begins with Ben calling a family meeting to discuss the fact that Megan is refusing to take a DNA test to determine the father of her baby. However, Will quickly causes upset when he jumps to Megan’s defence, leading his grandmother Maggie to lose her temper…
“Maggie has a real bee in her bonnet,” continues our spy. “She’s not prepared to sit back and let Will support Megan for a second longer. It’s an understandable feeling, but it does make us wonder whether Will needs comfort over tough love right now…”
Later in the week, Ben tries to convince Will to attend a counselling session so that he can talk openly about what’s been happening between him and Megan. Is Will ready to let his guard down yet?

Can the Driscoll family help Will through his latest nightmare? Or will the stress of the situation take its toll?
Speaking recently about the future of this plot, Jane Danson – who plays Leanne Battersby – told Inside Soap: “This storyline involves so many characters who all react differently. Lots of other stories are born out of it. It will affect lots of relationships.
“Eva is protective of her stepson Will, she and Leanne are united in looking out for their kids, and Toyah’s a big part of that. It’s the three sisters against the world!”
Coronation Street has worked on Will and Megan’s grooming storyline with support from Barnardo’s. Support and information is available via the charity’s website.
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
