The owner of a house being demolished after it was built without planning permission has said Meath County Council “may as well send the bill to Mickey Mouse” because she and her husband can’t afford to pay it.
Rose and Chris Murray, whose home in Faughan Hill, Bohermeen, is set to be turned to rubble following a 20-year dispute, have claimed that the cost of knocking the 526 sq m house “will come back on the taxpayer”.
