Lisa Kudrow made a rare red carpet appearance with her family at The Comeback season 3 premiere.

The actress, 62, looked glamorous as she stepped out alongside her husband of 30 years, Michel Stern, 67, and their son, Julian Murray Stern, 27, at The Wallis Center in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Thursday, March 19.

But this red carpet was extra special for the proud mom, as her son has a recurring role in the latest season of the sitcom, marking his HBO debut.

Dressed in a Celine black patterned shirt, patchwork skirt and wool jacket, the Friends star appeared in high spirits as she hugged Julian on the red carpet.

The actor, best known for his role in Seth’s Big Break Two, coordinated his look with his dad Michel, with the pair both donning smart navy blue suits and crisp white shirts.

Julian’s role in The Comeback has been kept tightly under wraps, so fans will have to wait until the new series premieres on March 22 to find out more about his appearance.

During the show’s premiere event, Kudrow — who plays Valerie Cherish in the show — exclusively tells PEOPLE that she slipped into mom-mode while shooting with her only child as she opened up about a sweet moment they shared on the set in the cast holding room.

“I was kind of tired, and my brain was just a little fuzzy, and I’ve been looking at lines,” Kudrow tells PEOPLE. “I walked in and I saw Julian sitting on the couch with some other people like, ‘Oh,’ and just walked over and climbed onto the couch right next to him and cuddled in.”

“And everyone just went … And he went, ‘Hi, Mom,’ and everyone was looking,” Kudrow continues. “It was maybe inappropriate just like to climb on him. I think some people didn’t know he was my son. So they were still wondering, ‘What’s happening right now?’ ”

Julian is no stranger to TV cameras. After Kudrow and Michel married in May 1995, they welcomed Julian three years later in 1998 while she was filming Friends.

Kudrow would regularly bring her son to the set, and Julian formed such a bond with her costar Jennifer Aniston that he often confused his mom with Aniston, 57.

He’d fly into her lap,” Kudrow told an episode of Conan in May 2021. “Well, she’s a love bug, and that made sense. And I was always glad for anyone that Julian felt love for and felt from. But then at home, she’d be on TV, and he’d go, ‘Mommy!’ ” she explained.

As Julian got older, he developed a love for cinematography. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 2021 and wrapped his first TV movie, a project entitled Doomed, in 2022.

In 2005, a year after Friends ended, Lisa created The Comeback alongside Michael Patrick King, creator and director of Sex and the City. The pair both serve as executive producers on the series.
