Dear Mary: My adult daughters are not in a position to move out and want their boyfriends to stay over but my husband says no

Question: Myself and my husband cannot come to an agreement over whether or not our daughters can have their boyfriends spend the night in their bedrooms. Our daughters are over the age of consent, old enough to buy alcohol, and I consider them to be emotionally mature for their age.

They, of course, think they know it all, and can be silly at times, but overall I trust them to be sensible, and to take precautions and behave sensibly.
