Letterkenny lad Ollie Worth made his international rugby debut as the Irish U-18 Clubs & Schools team took on Scotland’s U18s this afternoon.

Ollie, pictured above on the right, is the son of Letterkenny couple Jeremy and Lucia Worth.

A former Letterkenny Rugby Club underage prospect, Ollie has been making the next steps of his prospective rugby career playing for his school, the Kildare-based Clongowes Wood College.

Rugby runs deep in the Worth family, as his older brother Charlie has also featured on the international stage for Ireland’s Sevens team.

The young outhalf was named on the substitutes’ bench for this afternoon’s game, but made a vital contribution to Ireland’s effort – making the winning kick to give the boys in green a nailbiting 34-33 victory.

A fine debut for a rising rugby prospect raised in the hills of Donegal.
