Following the March 20 global release of The Immortal Man, star Rebecca Ferguson shared that she’s leaving the door at least slightly open for a reunion with the Peaky Blinders franchise.
Ferguson, who embodies the enigmatic Kaulo Chiriklo in the new Netflix film, may play one of the new additions to the Peaky Blinders world, but she’s not new to the franchise. Kaulo, a palm reader, is the sister of Tommy Shelby’s (Cillian Murphy) former flame Zelda Chiriklo, also played by Ferguson. Addressing speculation about her future with Peaky Blinders, Ferguson was measured.
“I never say no,” Ferguson shared with Radio Times, keeping coy as she was pressed. While Kaulo’s introduction and inclusion in The Immortal Man was an important piece of the story, Ferguson explained, “I think that Kaulo was so essential for this film, but I don’t always feel that a character needs to have a continuation; we can be satisfied with not being satisfied.”
As a significant addition to the Peaky Blinders story, Ferguson’s Kaulo has made an impact on what the future of the longtime series could look like. Although the film stands on its own, a continuation of the story doesn’t seem like it’s entirely out of the picture for the hugely successful Netflix franchise.
While no plans have been confirmed regarding another film, sequel series, or any spinoffs, Ferguson’s comments suggest that a return isn’t off the table. Though it’s far from a guarantee, it’s clear that the actress is happy to never say never as far as Peaky Blinders goes. As the team looks ahead to what could be next, Ferguson seems to be open to a return.

Rebecca Ferguson as Kaulo in Peaky Blinders The Immortal Man (2026)
Within The Immortal Man, Ferguson has to balance flashback work as Zelda with present-day moments as Kaulo, who plots and pushes Duke Selby (Barry Keoghan) to claim his father’s place. While Duke doesn’t follow along, he ends the film with her by his side as the new head of the Shelby clan. As “the only person who can say, ‘stop’ and he listens,” Kaulo has a huge presence.
With Kaulo positioned to be a part of Peaky Blinders moving forward, it appears possible that, despite Ferguson’s coy answers, her character will be a piece of the franchise as it moves forward. The Immortal Man was able to present a fascinating new world for the show’s longtime universe, and though plans for what’s next haven’t been revealed, it seems clear that Peaky Blinders isn’t going anywhere.
