Ryan’s on Camden Street, Dublin
The owners of the popular Ryan’s pub on Dublin’s Camden Street had run an illegal shebeen for many years, showed a blatant disregard of the law, and were unfit to receive a licence for an extended premises, a Circuit Court judgement has recorded.
They had applied to the courts for a new drinks licence for a bar that extended into adjoining premises including an outdoor area known as ‘the abattoir’ and an enclosed laneway, but were met with extensive objections from gardai and locals.
