Gigi Supplements, the Irish health brand founded by nutritional therapists Jennie Haire and Lisa Hughes, has closed a €1.5m seed round led by Vestra Partners.

The round was significantly oversubscribed as demand for evidence-based solutions for women’s hormonal health, fertility challenges and perimenopause.

Since its launch in November 2023, Gigi Supplements has sold 60,000 pouches of its hero product, the PMS & Hormone Balance Blend daily supplement, online and in over 350 retail locations nationwide, including Boots and Holland & Barrett.

Strong sales, word-of-mouth and investor interest in the women’s health supplements sector, which is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of 5-11% globally to 2030, have increased the brand’s visibility and traction.

“We are passionate about the impact that nutrition has on hormonal health and fertility, and we’re committed to improving the women’s health landscape for the next generation,” said Haire and Hughes.

“The capital will be used to bolster Gigi’s expansion into new product lines including pregnancy and fertility which have been two years in development and allow us to expand the brand into new markets, specifically the UK.”

Ciara Byrne, founder and general oartner at Vestra Partners, said: “We are delighted to back Gigi Supplements at this important juncture in the brand’s development. Its science led, results driven approach is exactly what this particular segment of women’s health needs.

“The oversubscribed round underpins the belief by investors in the brands potential to become a leading European brand in this high growth category”.

Deirdre Glenn, food tech and food FDI department manager at Enterprise Ireland, added: “Enterprise Ireland is delighted to support Gigi Supplements, an early‑stage, female‑founded and award‑winning company established by Jennie Haire and Lisa Hughes.

“Since launching in late 2023, the company has demonstrated strong commercial traction through listings with well‑known retailers and robust direct‑to‑consumer sales.
