Stratford 13:40 – Watamu

WATAMU has some winning course form at Stratford having won a bumper here on debut. She’s been trained by Emma Lavelle since and only ran a week ago but was far too ‘free’ in the contest won by Charisma Cat and I had to pull her up when all her energy was spent. I wasn’t hard on her after it was clear her chance had gone and she has decent form and is back in the right company and should take a lot of beating. She’s my best ride on the card.

Another for Emma Lavelle and I schooled CLASSIC KING on Thursday morning and he schooled well. He’s got cheekpieces to help him concentrate, looks to be on a workable mark and should run well.

I’ve never ridden the very experienced JUAN BERMUDEZ and just came in for a spare ride on Henry Oliver’s seven-year-old. I don’t know much about him, but he won at this venue three starts back in a conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle. Hopefully he can go well.
