Irish podcaster Vogue Williams has shared a funny fashion faux pas from a recent school drop-off, and discussed plans for her London home renovation with Spencer Matthews

Lively Irish podcaster Vogue Williams has revealed that she was forced to “go home and change” after arriving at the school gates wearing an inappropriately fitted skirt. However, this wasn’t the sort of teenage wardrobe mishap many of us can relate to — Vogue’s fashion blunder occurred just earlier this month.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Vogue and Amber podcast, Vogue acknowledged that during her younger years she did favour rather revealing clothing: “I went through a phase where I used to wear skirts that barely covered my ass. They were literally like belts. It was back in the day…”
As her co-host and elder sister Amber Wilson challenged the notion that Vogue only “used to” dress daringly, Vogue continued: “I’ll tell you what, I was shamed by a skirt of mine the other day.
“I went to put it on and then I asked [husband Spencer Matthews], I said, ‘Does this look okay?’ And I knew it felt tight, but I wasn’t sure how tight it felt.
“Anyway, I dropped the kids off at school in it and I knew I was getting weird looks and had to go home and change and admit defeat. The skirt has got to go into my Vinted bag.”

While Vogue has long been regarded as a trendsetter — most recently making headlines when she attended Westfield London’s Feel The Frequency launch night wearing a polka-dot dress from contemporary designer brand Joseph Copenhagen — her true passion these days lies firmly in interior design. “I’m addicted to interiors,” the mother of three confessed.
She and her husband Spencer have recently relocated to a rental in London while overseeing work on what they hope will be their “forever” home: “We hope to start work on the new house this month,” she revealed to RSVP magazine. “I think it’ll be an 18-month project. We are desperate to get in there.
“The rental is grand, but we’re all a little squashed because we have so much stuff. This is the part I love, but I’m kind of nervous because Spenny’s getting really quite involved in the renovation process,” Vogue jokingly added.
“I thought he might have lost interest in it by now, but he hasn’t! It’s going to be quite collaborative, and that’s going to take up a lot of the year. We’re renting close enough to it so we’ll be able to keep an eye on it. Hopefully it’s our forever home.”

Vogue also maintains a property in her native Howth, documenting its transformation on her Instagram account. While the beautiful seaside residence is now complete, Vogue intends to primarily base herself in London for the time being.
“The home in Howth is fully done,” she explained. “Until I think of something else to do! That’s what I love about interiors — you can easily switch things up. I’d love to think I’d spend more time in Ireland. For now, I love living in London.
“I feel really lucky that we have the option of two places, and it’s so easy to fly back home.” Vogue is deeply enthusiastic about interior design and feels fortunate to have incorporated this passion into her broadcasting work.
She revealed: “I did a show on Channel 4 which comes out this year. It basically helps people who have been done over by their builders, who have spent all their money and have no budget left.
“We try to help them finish their build. That was so fun to film. I did another show on Channel 4 with Wayfair, talking through people’s interior styles. Anything to do with interiors, I’d love to do more of it. I love watching those shows; I watch Grand Designs all the time.”
