Donegal take on Kerry in the National Football League Division One final at Croke Park on Sunday afternoon.
There was little between the sides in Division One this season as they occupied the top two spots, with Donegal finishing just a point ahead of the Kingdom.
Jim McGuinness’s men won the meeting of the two teams in Ballyshannon in early February by four points but that was a game in which David Clifford didn’t feature.
The teams will closer to full strength today but there is still a feeling that this Croke Park tussle will see a bout of shadow boxing as the counties size each other up for a potential championship meeting further down the line.
The loss to Donegal was Kerry’s only defeat in the league while the Tir Chonaill men suffered just the one loss, away to Roscommon.
Kerry sealed their spot in the final with a last-day draw with Armagh in the BOX-IT Athletic Grounds, a result which saw the Orchardmen retain their Division One status.
Donegal confirmed their appearance with a win over already-relegated Monaghan in Clones on the last day.
