Run by twin brothers Raymond and Tony MacHugh, Neapolitan restaurant Sano Pizza won a jaw-dropping €100,000 package as part of Just Eat’s biggest accolade, Independent Restaurant of the Year 2025.

Hosted by radio presenter Crossy, the 12th annual awards took place in Dublin’s Fallon and Byrne on Wednesday, 1 April, celebrating some of the nation’s favourite restaurants, chippers, and lunch spots.

Committed to affordable prices and high-quality ingredients, Sano – which can be found in Dublin, Cork, and Glasgow – has become a firm favourite among Just Eat customers in Ireland, winning ‘Best Pizza’ as well as the overall prize at today’s ceremony.

Raymond MacHugh, Co-owner of Sano Pizza, told RTÉ Lifestyle that he was honoured by the win.

“It’s quite moving,” he admitted. “It’s not just about me, it’s about all the hard work from the people that clean, the people who make the pizzas, the people who sell the pizzas, too. And our customers who keep coming back week after week, month after month, year after year! I’m absolutely chuffed.”
