Volumes cafe review: ‘Tasty though they are, the bagels are expensive at this little pocket of urban European cool’

This buzzy spot is drawing in the crowds with superb coffee and a tasty lunch offering

I’d been forewarned about the queues at Volumes, a new-ish cafe located in IPUT’s George’s Quay development, and took the precaution of arriving what might seem ridiculously early for lunch.

And so, yes, if you happened to be there on the same day, I was the sad person asking too many questions about the lunch special a little after 11.30am, ordering what must have seemed like an excessive amount of food for two people. (But boy was I glad an hour later when the queue stretched out the door and there wasn’t a seat to be had.)
