Country spirit was in the air at The Muff Liquor Company today as Nathan Carter dropped in ahead of his performance at the Millennium Forum in Derry tonight.

The country star, best known for crowd favourites including Wagon Wheel, made a return visit to the Inishowen drinks company’s brand home to celebrate his investment in the fast-growing brand.

With the possibility of a surprise return this summer, there may be even more reason to keep the welcome mat out!

Nathan is one of the celebrity investors backing the Donegal craft spirits company, which has an illustrious list of supporters including Russell Crowe, Jimmy Carr, Ed Sheeran, Ronan Keating and Ryan Tubridy.

All of the above, with the exception of Ed Sheeran, have made public visits to the Brand Home so far.

Founded by Greencastle woman Laura Bonner, The Muff Liquor Company was inspired by her grandfather Philip McClenaghan’s poitín-making heritage.

Laura went on to create her own range of premium potato-based spirits, helping to build an award-winning collection of gin, whiskey and vodka.

Speaking after Nathan’s visit today, Laura told Donegal Daily: “Nathan has been a great supporter of the brand, particularly as we continue to build in the US.

“For me personally, it meant a lot to have that kind of support, especially during what have been challenging times across the industry with tariffs and wider economic pressures.

“The backing from local people and visitors has been incredible, and we’re really grateful.

“We’re looking forward to a busy weekend ahead at the Brand Home, and anyone is very welcome to pop in for a drink, no booking needed.”
