A man has been arrested in connection with the 2020 murder of Robbie Lawlor.
The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested in Dublin on Thursday on foot of a Trade and Cooperation Agreement extradition warrant to extradite him to Northern Ireland to be charged, gardaí said in a statement.
The Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been taking part in a joint investigation with the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
The arrested man is being detained in a Garda station in the Dublin region and is due to appear before the High Court in Dublin on Friday morning.
Robbie Lawlor was 35 years old when he was shot dead outside a house in the Ardoyne area of Belfast in April 2020. He was suspected of ordering the murder and dismemberment of Drogheda teenager Keane Mulready-Woods earlier the same year.
