Go-Ahead Ireland has responded to complaints about the reliability of its Bus Connects local services in north Wicklow, which were rolled out in January this year but have come in for heavy criticism over punctuality and cancellations. The firm said in County Wicklow, it has achieved over 98pc of contracted kilometres, exceeding the minimum contractual requirement.
Social Democrats TD for Wicklow, Jennifer Whitmore, has hit out at the transport provider over its claims that the services in Wicklow are reliable, when “the lived experience of passengers tells a different story”, she said.
