The owner of a Cork city shop is ‘thrilled’ for one of his customers as they are Ireland’s newest millionaire after last night’s Euromillions draw.
Tim O’Donoghue, owner of Marina XL Filling Station, said he was delighted to receive a call from the National Lottery team informing him that his shop had sold a big winner. The little store is at the roundabout at Victoria Road and Monahan Road, and Lotto bosses are urging customers to check their tickets.
The winning ticket for Friday night’s EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle (on April 3), worth an incredible €1,005,000 after purchasing their Quick Pick ticket on Thursday, April 2. The lucky ticket has the winning raffle number: I-TLX-11633.
Shop owner Tim O’Donoghue said, “We’ve been proudly serving the Marina area for 23 years, and this is by far our biggest win to date. We’re a busy store with customers coming and going all day, so there’s huge excitement among the team knowing that one of those shoppers is now a millionaire.
“We’re absolutely delighted to have sold the winning ticket and want to wish the winner all the best in the future,” he the said.

The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to keep it safe. They should make contact with our Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie, and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize in Lottery HQ.
