“Trump doesn’t give a shit about the people,” Cox, who starred as patriarch Logan Roy in HBO’s hit show “Succession,” told the British newspaper. “He’s only interested in the oil. There’s just sheer fucking greed motivating him, nothing else. The idea he’s liberating people is a nonsense. And it’s that greed that sort of permeates through society. I find at my age, I just go, ‘Are we going to get any better?’”

The outspoken Scottish star has, in the past, referred to Trump as “that idiot in America” and said being around him “made me feel like I wanted to go and have a shower.”

The Times profile has also been getting a lot of attention for its recap of some of Cox’s unfiltered takes on a slew of Hollywood stars from previous interviews and his 2022 memoir. Those comments include the opinionated Cox calling Edward Norton “a pain the arse,” pronouncing Kevin Spacey “a stupid, stupid, man,” and proclaiming the acting of Ian McKellen “not to my taste.”
