A man aged in his 30s has died one week after a road collision in County Longford.

He was the sole occupant of the car which was involved in a single-vehicle collision on the R392 in Ballymahon, County Longford, shortly after midnight on Sunday the 29th of March.

The man was taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore for treatment, however he sadly died in hospital yesterday.

Gardaí have renewed their appeals for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
