Gargan was heavily involved as Dublin plundered a third goal two minutes into the second-half as his ambitious shot dropped short but Kilduff was on hand to flick the ball into the empty net from close range.

Meath were denied a green flag of their own in the 36th minute as Sean O’Neill made a superb, sprawling save to deny McIvor although the Meath attacker gained some consolation as he converted the resultant ‘65’.

However, Dublin were comfortably controlling matters with Mícheál Tierney scoring a deserved point while Kilduff added points either side of the three-quarter mark to extend his team’s lead.

Gargan and Conor Dillon put further distance between the teams in the closing stages while Harry Curley (free), Cullen and Gargan piled on the misery for Meath by the final whistle.
