A lucky Lotto player in Castletroy is over €51,000 richer this morning following the weekend draw.
The National Lottery has confirmed that a Quick Pick ticket sold in Monaleen matched five numbers and the bonus in Saturday night’s draw (April 4th), securing a prize of €51,393.
The winning ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at Centra Monaleen (Monaleen Stores) in Castletroy, Co. Limerick.
The win has sparked a wave of excitement in the local community as the search for the newest local winner begins.
Representatives from the National Lottery are urging anyone who bought a ticket in the Monaleen area to check their numbers immediately.
The winning numbers for the Saturday draw were 1, 7, 14, 31, 35, 39 and the bonus was 20.
The Limerick winner missed out on the main jackpot by just one number, they are being advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place.
They should then contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 to arrange for the collection of their prize at Lottery Headquarters in Dublin.
As there was no winner of the overall €5.6 million jackpot on Saturday, the prize money for this coming Wednesday is now heading toward an estimated €6 million.
