Tragic end to missing person search as body found of man last seen in Ballagh

The body of a man last seen in Ballaghaderreen has been found.

On Saturday, gardai issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of 66-year-old Padraig Dooley.

He was missing from Charlestown, Co Mayo, and was last seen in Ballaghaderreen on Wednesday morning.

Gardai have now stood down the missing person appeal after a body was found in the search for him.
