V&M Podcasters Vinny McLaughlin and Marty Brogan will celebrate a major milestone this summer as they record their 100th edition of the show live in front of fans and friends.
The special live event at Balor Arts Centre, sponsored by Donegal Airport, takes place on Friday 12th June.
Since launching in 2022, the podcast has built a strong following with its no-filter comedy, lively chat and the lads’ willingness to mix laughs with more serious conversations.
What started as a homemade production turned into a polished entertainment series with a permanent studio and all-star guests.
The duo have already chalked up some notable live milestones along the way. In 2023, they staged their first live audience show, and later that year followed it up with a packed Christmas special at Century Complex featuring Danny O’Carroll and Jordan O’Keefe.
They have also shown a serious side beyond the comedy. In 2024, Vinny and Marty stepped outside their regular format to produce a hard-hitting documentary on the defective concrete crisis, visiting affected families and highlighting the emotional toll the scandal has taken inside homes across the county.
The pair have also devoted episodes of the programme to charity challenges. In October 2024, they hosted a 24-hour live podcast in aid of Ruby’s Fight for Life, raising €7,200 for Ruby Kiernan Houston and her family. They have also lent their support to local community events by acting as MCs.
Now, with their 100th episode in sight, fans are being invited to join them for what promises to be a night of laughs, stories and plenty of surprises.
Vinny said, “We’re proud of how far we have come, and we actually think we are only getting started.”
Marty added: “This will be a night to come, let your hair down, leave all your stress at the door and have a laugh and maybe even a cry.”
The duo said they are looking forward to marking the occasion with the people who have supported them along the way.
“We are so looking forward to this and we would love for you to come and spend the night with us,” they said.
Special guests are still to be announced, while tickets are out now via the Balor Arts Centre.
