Peacefully at Mayo University Hospital after a short illness in his 98th year surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy, brother Mort & sister Rosaleen Devaney.

John, beloved father of Marie, Nuala & John.

Sadly, missed by his daughters, son, sister Patty Heffernan, son-in-law Ciaran McNamara, sister-in-law, Ita Halloran, grandchildren Sarah, Molly, Jonathon & Andrew, daughter-in-law Annmarie, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina (F26 V274) on Wednesday evening from 5pm with removal at 6:30pm to St Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina.

Requiem Mass on Thursday morning at 11:30am followed by burial in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina.
