Cian Harkin’s bid for glory at the West of Ireland Amateur Open ended in heartbreak at Rosses Point, falling just short in the semi-finals.
The Letterkenny Golf Club player was defeated by Colm Campbell from Warrenpoint, with the outcome decided on the tournament’s final hole after a tense contest.
Campbell, who reached the final in last year’s edition as well, continues his strong showing at the event, which has previously crowned stars like Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry.
