The changes that Newstalk made to its schedule last February were the most significant in the station’s history, according to managing editor Eric Moylan.

Four prime-time programmes were launched or refreshed. Claire Byrne, poached from RTÉ, took on a three-hour morning show. Pat Kenny left that slot, and now presents a two-hour programme on both Saturday and Sunday.
