A 210 ACRE holding at Kilmacow, Adare, County Limerick has gone under the hammer.
It was described by long established land agent Tom Crosse, GVM, as “a top class holding in a wonderful location just 10 minutes’ drive from the picturesque village of Adare”.
There are 180 acres under grass with the remainder on a hill and needing some attention. There is a derelict farmhouse thereon and limited out offices.

The holding, brought to market by Kerry-based vendors, was first offered in lots at the auction in the Woodlands House Hotel in Adare and online.
“When offered in one lot, bidding moved on to €2.6m which fell short of the €3m reserve. Following post-auction negotiations, a deal was quickly concluded,” said Mr Crosse, who remained tight-lipped on the eventual sale price but local sources suggest a figure in the region of €2.75m was the agreed figure.
The purchaser is believed to be a local dairy farmer.
