Following some of their latest updates, a number of Google Pixel owners are reporting bootloop issues, with Google “working to identify a fix.”
While it doesn’t appear to be extremely widespread, a number of Pixel owners have reported over the past two or so weeks a trend of bootlooping issues, leaving their phones unusable, often stuck on the “G” logo at boot.
Reports have amassed via Google’s Issue Tracker as well as Reddit, affecting devices as new as the Pixel 10 and as old as Pixel 6, with various models such as Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 7 Pro, and others all mentioned in individual user reports.
The culprit here appears to be the March 2026 update, though the exact cause is unclear. As mentioned, this isn’t a particularly widespread issue. While there are enough user reports to make it clear something is wrong in Google’s build, it’s not affecting all users.

A factory reset can often fix issues like these, but some users note that even recovery mode (where a factory reset option lies) is bootlooping.
Google has acknowledged the problem. In a comment on its Issue Tracker, Google confirms that it is “actively investigating and working on a resolution,” previously asking for bug reports and confirming teams are “actively working to identify a fix.”
Affected Pixel owners are directed to contact customer support, and Google has been proactively commenting on Reddit threads, trying to offer assistance. Some users do note struggles in getting Google’s help via customer service, though.
