Maserati Mexico introduced the Maserati GT2 Stradale to the domestic market at Centro Banamex during the Stellar AutoFest 2026. Rodnei Silva, Country Manager, Maserati Mexico, presented the vehicle as the brand’s most powerful street-legal offering, highlighting its direct engineering links to the company’s recent European racing successes.
The GT2 Stradale serves as a road-legal variant of the manufacturer’s GT2 competition car. “Tonight, we will not present a sports car that merely resembles a racing car. With this launch, we celebrate a new golden era of motorsport,” Silva said. The vehicle was developed to translate track-level performance into a road-ready, consumer-oriented format.
Engineering and Technical Specifications
The vehicle is powered by the “Nettuno” engine, a proprietary Maserati design that utilizes technology derived from Formula 1. The engine produces 640 hp, enabling a top speed exceeding 300 km/h (186 mph).
The chassis is built around a carbon fiber monocoque, a design choice intended to minimize weight while maximizing structural rigidity. Silva reported that the car maintains a power-to-weight ratio of approximately two kilograms per horsepower. Silva noted that the technical focus of the vehicle was guided by a specific brand philosophy: “In Maserati, there is a phrase that perfectly defines how we think about cars: ‘If it generates emotion, it has to be in the vehicle.’”

Competitive Background and Development
The launch follows Maserati’s performance in the GT2 European Series. Silva confirmed that the brand secured the championship in that series, citing “key victories” and “multiple podiums” as the foundation for the GT2 Stradale’s development.
“Over decades, Maserati has competed on the most demanding tracks in the world. Maserati does not race for presence; it races for legacy, a legacy that we now bring to life with a vehicle homologated for the road,” Silva said.

Market Strategy and Consumer Engagement
To support the launch, Maserati announced a dedicated digital engagement program for the Stellar AutoFest. Consumers who configure a GT2 Stradale and share the result on social media platforms are eligible to receive one of 200 limited-edition launch posters.
The presentation concluded with a transition to the Maserati display area at Centro Banamex, where Gaby Khan provided additional details regarding brand artifacts and the 111-year history of the manufacturer. Silva summarized the vehicle as “Maserati in its most extreme form”.
