The Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro smartwatch has been spotted again on social media. The name “Cheetah2” was discovered in the code behind an app update released earlier in 2026. While many fans suggest that this model would be the Cheetah 2 Pro, it could also be known as the Cheetah 2 or the Cheetah Pro 2. It is expected to arrive at some point this year as a follow-up to the original Cheetah Pro, launched in 2023.

Now, a video (below) featuring Amazfit Athlete Amanal Petros appears to show the unreleased Cheetah 2 Pro. The long distance runner, who recently broke the German record during the Berlin Half Marathon, seemed to be wearing the new smartwatch during the event. In the video, a round watch with a relatively large display is shown on Petros’ wrist. While it has a somewhat similar design to the recently released Active 3 Premium (curr. $169.99 at Amazon) with a metal casing, it has tapered lugs featuring a cut-out, rather than straight lugs. Also seen in the video is a black silicone sports strap. All of these design elements were seen in an earlier clip featuring Canadian long-distance runner Grant Fisher.

The specifications of the Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro smartwatch remain unknown. The original model has a 1.45” AMOLED display, with dual-band GPS navigation and support for offline maps. There are typical health tracking features like heart rate and sleep health monitoring. Plus, the watch has an average run time of 14 days. Amazfit has yet to officially acknowledge the rumored Cheetah 2 smartwatch. As such, it is unclear precisely when this model could be released, and how much it will cost.
