Coronation Street witnessed a comeback on Friday’s episode, currently available on ITVX, as Theo Silverton’s former wife Danielle made a fleeting reappearance.
Viewers will remember that Theo has been mistreating husband Todd Grimshaw for months, even coercing him into marriage last month in a troubling development.
Fortunately, Theo has begun to be unmasked on the cobbles as Todd’s father figure and colleague, George Shuttleworth, saw right through the wicked builder, alongside Todd’s friends Gary Windass, Sarah Platt and Christina Boyd.
Understanding the net is tightening around him and the reality that he left Billy Mayhew die in the Corriedale car crash earlier this year, Theo is attempting to relocate to Belfast with Todd while his loved ones try to prevent this.

In an attempt to unmask Theo and rescue Todd, Sarah arranged to meet Theo’s former wife Danielle, whom he abandoned for Todd. Gathering in the bistro, Sarah enquired whether Theo was ever violent towards her, reports the Daily Star.
Danielle was left incensed at the implication as she firmly rejected Sarah’s queries and allegations. Matters deteriorated further when Todd and Theo walked into the bistro to discover Sarah with Danielle, sparking a heated confrontation.
As the episode concluded, Todd disclosed that his contract has arrived and they’re relocating to Belfast on Monday, leaving Todd forcing a smile.
Flocking to social media, viewers were eager to share their theories about Friday’s episode. Posting on Twitter, now known as X, one user wrote: “I bet Theo did hit on Danielle and his kids. That’s probably why his kids don’t come around anymore. #Corrie.”

A separate account commented: “Hard to know, really. BUT he flat out lied to her, had a dating profile up, and was sleeping with Todd while still married to her (hiding his status from Todd), so I’d say that all that lying and cheating was a forerunner to what is going on now.”
While another viewer chipped in: “Would be interesting if it was Daniella who saves Todd from Theo.”
This comes as teasers for next week suggest that Theo’s deadly secret could be blown wide open after he left Billy to die in the Corriedale crash earlier this year, while Todd faces a pivotal moment of courage.
On Wednesday, in a powerful single-strand episode, Todd finally confronts Theo by reporting him for assault and revealing the months of abuse to DS Lisa Swain and Kit Green.
Meanwhile, Theo senses his days are numbered and is desperately attempting to flee Weatherfield, but as word of his violent and controlling behaviour spreads, could it already be too late for him to make his escape?
