Not many artists plan an exhibition of their work in their 100th year, but then not many people are quite like Mo Irwin.
Sitting in her living room overlooking Connemara’s Omey Island, she laughs as she speaks about the celebration of her work in Dublin’s United Arts Club with all the excitement of a recent art school graduate. Whipping out a straw hat from behind her chair, she places it at a jaunty angle before our photographer arrives.
