Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page were the initial stars of Bridgerton when the romantic series debuted on Netflix in December 2020. Although Page left the series after its inaugural season, Dynevor returned for Bridgerton Season 2, which showcased Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley in leading roles. Recently, the Thrash actress expressed her desire to return to the Regency drama. However, fans may be disheartened to find out that Dynevor has yet to receive any communication from the production team, and she has been patiently waiting. Here’s what she shared about her role as Daphne in the Netflix series.

In an interview with Collider, Dynevor was questioned about whether she was the one who exited the popular series. The actress clarified that she did not leave and remarked, “I would always return if I were invited… I have not gotten a call, but when I do, I will be there if possible.” She also mentioned that the production team seemed uncertain about her character’s direction after the second season, referring to herself and Page as the “ones that got away.”
Even while filming Season 4, which starred Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha, Dynevor expressed her openness to making a special appearance. If showrunner Jess Brownell happens to be tuning in to her interview, Dynevor is awaiting your call!
The Netflix series introduces a new couple each season, as it is based on the romance novels by Julia Quinn, chronicling the love lives of the Bridgerton siblings from the eldest, Anthony (Bailey), to the youngest, Hyacinth (Florence Hunt), all named in alphabetical order.

The upcoming season of Bridgerton will center on the romance between Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza). In the fourth season, viewers witnessed Francesca becoming a widow following the unexpected and tragic passing of Lord John Stirling (Victor Alli). Michaela, John’s cousin and trusted friend, is also deeply affected.
The series will present Bridgerton’s first same-gender primary love story and will take place two years later. The show recently revealed three new cast members, featuring Tega Alexander as Christopher Anderson, the son of Lord Anderson, known for his charming ways. Jacqueline Boatswain will portray Helen Stirling, Michaela’s delightful mother, while Gemma Knight Jones will take on the role of Lady Elizabeth Ashworth, a member of the elite who is already acquainted with Michaela.
