Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle are back in Australia!
The couple touched down (on a commercial flight!) on April 14 and kicked their tour off right away with a visit to the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. This trip down under marks their first time back since October 2018, when they were still working royals and newlyweds, having said, “I do” that May. During that visit, the the couple announced they were expecting their first child, Prince Archie, who was born on May 6, 2019.
They later stepped down from being working senior royals in 2020 and moved to the United States, before welcoming daughter Princess Lilibet on June 4, 2021. But the couple continues to travel in service of their philanthropic work, having made another humanitarian visit to Jordan earlier this year.
In addition to Melbourne, the four-day Australia trip includes visits to Canberra and Sydney, with an agenda that focuses on mental health, community resilience and support for veterans and their families — a cause close to Harry, who served in the British Army and founded the Invictus Games.
