EastEnders’ Lauren Beale receives a nasty shock next week, when a car that she ordered turns out to be totally unprofitable! But when Mark Fowler vows to help the businesswoman recoup her lost cash, will her luck change?
Still warring with Max over car sales, Lauren is all ears when Alfie points her towards a business that is flogging vintage cars on the cheap. But poor Lauren is stunned when the first car arrives at the lot, looking nothing like she expected…

“Lauren can’t believe her eyes when the car turns up!” reveals our EastEnders insider. “To begin with, Lauren is so convinced that the supplier will pull through that she strikes a deal with Phil, in which he agrees to repair the motors before they’re sold on.
“In the end, Mark asks Phil whether he can take on the work instead, but regardless, Lauren’s faith in the car seller turns out to be very misguided…”
With the shoddy car still on the lot, Mark checks to see whether the vehicle has any redeeming qualities but eventually admits to Lauren that there’s no way for her to secure a profit.
“It’s bad news for Lauren,” says our source. “That said, Mark tries to soften the blow by promising to help Lauren win back the cash that she paid the supplier. And it looks as though Mark goes about that by switching into tough-guy mode…”
Will Mark end the day as Lauren’s hero? Or will his approach instigate even more trouble?

It’s a busy week for Mark, who realises that someone important is missing from the picture when he gets word that Nigel’s pneumonia is worsening in the care home.
As Mark and Sam have a chat about Nigel’s condition, Mark suggests that they ought to bring his dad Grant up to speed on the rapidly escalating situation, seeing as they were childhood best friends.
Sam isn’t keen on the idea and admits that she and her brothers have drifted apart over the decade since their mum Peggy’s death.
