The Shannon rescue Coast Guard helicopter, Rescue 115.
A search operation that took place off Dunmore Head in West Kerry this afternoon has been stood down.
Gardaí were alerted to the incident at around 3pm today, Wednesday, April 15 and sought assistance from the Dingle Coastguard and Valentia RNLI. Rescue 115 was also tasked to the scene to help search.
Weather conditions made the search difficult and the Rescue helicopter had to return to base for a period of time due to lightening.
The search has now been stood down after a body was recovered.
