This Morning: Ben asks Sheridan Smith about her love life
British actress Sheridan Smith has shared insight into her love life stating that her son also probes her on it.
The 44-year-old appeared on Thursday’s edition of This Morning to discuss her new drama, The Cage, with presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
The new BBC thriller, which is scheduled to air on BBC One on April 26, will see Sheridan take on the role of Leanne, who plans to steal from her local casino alongside her co-worker Matty (Michael Socha).
Written by Tony Schumacher, Sheridan was thrilled to share her excitement about her upcoming production with the This Morning presenters.

But as they spoke about Sheridan’s former and upcoming roles, Ben couldn’t help but question the Gavin and Stacey star about her love life and whether she is currently seeing someone.
Leading on from their talks on Sheridan’s upcoming role in Australia, Ben asked: “What about, because 2026 is a big year for your Sheridan, what about love? Is there any, you know… I feel like someone with your energy and passion, is that part of your thinking?
“Australia might be some new areas for you to explore?”

Sheridan replied: “People do keep asking me, actually and since I had my son, he’s the man of my world, but even he’s asking me now! He’s even asking, ‘are you gonna get a boyfriend, mummy?'”
The star then added that she might “manifest” a new man when she’s in Australia filming her new drama.
According to recent reports, Sheridan has had a turbulent romantic history, including a relationship with her Gavin and Stacey co-star, a romance with a Hollyoaks actor and an engagement that was called off.

Sadly, there has been further heartbreak, as one of her former partners—whom she dated a few years ago died at the age of 39 last year.
Sheridan was briefly in a relationship with celebrity stylist Graham Nation in 2017, even describing him at the time as her “dream man.”
However, after they split, it was reported that she was left devastated when he moved out of her London home. At the time, a source told The Sun: “There is no animosity and Graham is still there for her, but she feels quite lonely at the moment.”
