Embattled Munster head coach Clayton McMillan has strongly defended the club’s decision to hire former All Black Roger Randle as assistant coach for next season.

The appointment of the 51-year-old New Zealander has proved to be a controversial one, with three former players who were members of the Munster Professional Games Board (PGB) resigning in objection.
