Ireland captain Erin King targets first Women’s Six Nations win in Galway
Ireland captain Erin King says they want to right a few wrongs from last weekend ahead of tomorrow’s historic first Women’s Six Nations game in Galway. Ireland will chase their first win of this campaign when they play Italy at Dexcom Stadium following last weekend’s 33-12 loss to world champions England in London.
Tomorrow will break the attendance record for a standalone Women’s Six Nations game on Irish soil with over 8,500 tickets already sold.
“There were a few frustrations coming out of last week. I think everyone’s raring to go, right a few wrongs. Definitely build on that second-half performance that we had against England,” Ireland captain Erin King said after their captain’s run in Galway today.
“Hopefully tomorrow coming out the gates we can bring that fast start into it. Training went really well, and we changed a few things and we worked on a few bits and bobs that we needed to work on from the game. And hopefully it will all come to light tomorrow.”
